The device performs functions of registering, pre-processing, accumulating, and storing data on crane performance parameters during fixed time.
These data contains main information on crane performance (date and time of the parameters registration, loads at the load-handling devices, condition and operational integrity of the crane assembly units and mechanisms, safe-load limiters actuation, wind speed, total crane operating time in machine hour, total number of the operational cycles, weight of the hoisted load, etc.). Applying the parameter recorder allows to obtain objective information on crane operating mode, and data for crane assembly units and mechanisms failure analysis, to extend operations of a crane, and to reduce costs of their maintenance, to conduct operations on maintenance and repair depending on actual operating time, etc.
The device does not refer to the products specified by the State system of industrial gages and automation equipment, it is not a measuring instrument, and it is not a subject to metrological calibration.
The device provides automatic switching of the load grades of the crane load capacity (after they are inputed) and an approximate assessment of the imposed load using a light indicator in the form of a linear scale or digital values conditionally correlated with the nominal load capacity of each lift (grade).
While running load lifting tests of the crane or in an emergency case, the device has the ability to be blocked and this mode will be automatically recorded into the memory.
The device provides input of the parameters of the nominal, maximum permissible load capacity, minimum value of the load capacity of the working cycle, product identification number, and installation date when it is mounted and adjusted on the crane.
The device provides warning and emergency light and audible indication when the rated load capacity is exceeded.
The device provides an indication of the current time, wind speed, as well as warning light and audible alarms when the preset value of the wind speed level is exceeded. For the convenience of a service engineer and a crane operator, the device has an indicator that displays the approximate values of the current time, wind speed changes and the degree of loading of the lifting mechanism, which are reference characteristics.
The device has an information input, assigned in advance, for fixing in memory the time and duration of blocking of the device from the crane control panel. The data on crane operational mode is stored in the device being constantly updated not rarer than each 10 days.
The device insures safety of the long-time storage information for not less than 3 years from the date of the last turning-off.
